“That’s what came out of the House markup over the weekend, that Nancy Pelosi mandated her committee chairman to come up with the bill. The to me, what I’m calling the March to big government socialism, the three point five trillion dollar bill. They’re still working on it, but that’s 2500 pages. And there’s a lot of estimates that three point five is a low number. But if you take 2500 pages, that equates to one billion, four hundred million dollars for each page of the bill in a country of over 300 million people. Three point five trillion is over ten thousand dollars for every man, woman and child in America. I will guarantee you Nancy Pelosi hasn’t read that and will not read it. Chuck Schumer hasn’t read it. Will Joe Biden, who is desperately asking the Democrats to vote for it so he can sign it, is stooping so low at this point that he has said and tweeted out on Friday that the cost of it will be nothing, the cost will be zero. I think it’s not fair for the president to undermine the intelligence of the American people. The American people are much smarter than that. They know they will be left holding the bill, paying the bill for this through taxes, through all sorts of things. And they’re feeling the pain right now, the bite of inflation that’s taken out of their paychecks. Every time they go to the grocery store or go to the gas station.”

The government will pay you, no need to work. That is big government socialism. 

That is an assault on free enterprise capitalism. That is a sure way to increase poverty, increase inequality, reduce labor participation and move us further on the road to serfdom.

Biden doesn’t talk explicitly about socialism but I’m with Newt Gingrich in describing Biden’s policies as big government socialism vs free enterprise capitalism.
